Lilac Sunday is a little painting in lilac pink, yellow and pale orange tones. It was inspired by summer time in the garden and a beautiful Tibouchina Blue Moon which has been flowering prolifically in my backyard for weeks. The flowers are made from prints taken from the foliage of ferns, corokia and feijoa. This little painting was donated to the Our Time raffle.
Available on the Corokia Studio FELT shop, a new small painting on wood inspired by twilight in the garden, with leafprints from feijoa trees and corokia plants.
“Orchard” is a small original painting in yellows and greens just listed on Corokia’s FELT shop. It was created using leafprints from feijoa trees and native ferns. Autumn is the season in New Zealand when the feijoa fruit ripens. Similar to the guava, this fragrant fruit can be made into jams, chutney and even wine. If you would like to try feijoa wine it can be ordered from Lothlorien Winery. Lovely evergreen feijoa trees often found in New Zealand backyards.
At 15 x 15cm this original acrylic panel painting would make the perfect small gift for Mother’s Day.
